Kevan Gillings has been a modeller since being a teenager and can been seen in other sections of this site.  Kev is a keen builder and most of his models are from plans and built from scratch. He has even engineered and built his own engines !!!  He's flown them all, control line, gliders, electric, ducted fans and many different aerobatic models. The IC  Standby 84" vintage model shown was built from plans and runs on an OS .60 opener rocker 4 stroke engine. Plans, material and Solartex covering cost about £55, engine cost £65 brand new in the box from Gildings Engine Auction at Market Harborough. What a bargain! Flies extremely well for that 'lets chill' flying mode. He has been a member for many years and is an LMFC Examiner and currently the Technical Representative for the Club. He is always happy to pass on the benefit of his experiences and knowledge and you won't go far wrong taking his sound advice. He likes to fly at other sites as well as Loughborough and is a member of several other clubs.

Gordon Bradburn a staunch member of LMFC for many years is one of the major participants in the Old 'arts Club weekday sessions. Winter or Summer the weekday boys are up for a bit of flying and the usual banter is in plentiful supply. The model Gordon (by the way the cap in detachable) is flying  is a Junior 60 powered by a Saito 50. He flies it on tick over and you could walk at the side of it.
