| 4.00. MANAGEMENT OF CLUB
AFFAIRS 4.01. The Club shall be managed by a Committee who shall meet on a regular basis with a minimum of six meetings per year, excluding the A.G.M. 4.02. The Committee shall
consist of the following persons:- 4.03. Members of the Committee shall, subject to termination of office by resignation or otherwise, hold office until the end of the next Annual General Meeting, unless a Committee member should fail to attend any three consecutive, or a total of four Committee meetings in any one year, then the Committee will assume that person has resigned and will co-opt any Club member to fill the vacancy until the end of the next A.G.M. 4.04. The retiring members of the Committee shall be eligible for re-election. 4.05. At least four of the elected Committee shall constitute a quorum. Only members of the Committee appointed at the last A.G.M., being fully paid up members shall be counted. 4.06. Minutes shall be kept of all Committee and A.G.M. meetings. 4.07. Voting at Committee meetings shall be by a show of hands or by secret ballot, at the discretion of the Chairman. In the event of any equality of votes the Chairman shall have the casting vote. 4.08. It will be the duty of all members when called upon, to serve on the Committee or any Sub-Committee, for a maximum period of 12 months in any 5 years should the need arise. 4.09. The Committee shall have the power to fill any vacancy which may occur during the year and shall have the power to co-opt, in an advisory non-voting capacity, persons to the Committee or any Sub-Committee. 4.10. A special meeting of the Committee may be called at any time subject to at least seven days notice from the Secretary, Chairman, or upon receipt by the Secretary of a requisition signed by at least four members of the Committee. 4.11. The Committee may arrange for the discharge of any of its functions by a Sub-Committee or Sub-Committees provided that the members of those Sub-Committees are fully paid up members of the Club. 4.12. All provisions described above shall apply to meetings of Sub-Committees as far as they are applicable, except that the number constituting a quorum will be specified by the Committee, and the notice required to convene a meeting of the Sub-Committee will also be specified by the Committee. 4.13. Any committee member holding more than one office will have a total of one vote with the exception of the Chairman, who in the event of an equal number has the casting vote. |
