LOUGHBOROUGH MODEL FLYING CLUB

CLUB CONSTITUTION & RULES

1.00. NAME

1.01. The Club shall be known as the Loughborough Model Flying Club.

2.00. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES

2.01. The promotion, protection, organisation and encouragement of model aircraft building, flying and development.

2.02. To co-operate with any national, regional or local body in the provision of model flying and recreational facilities.

2.03. To disseminate information received from model flying national, regional and local bodies.

2.04. To consider member feedback with a view to expressing a collective opinion on any particular topic when considered necessary.

2.05. To provide a set of rules which form a framework through which the sport of model flying may be carried out in the safest manner possible.

3.00. MEMBERSHIP

3.01. Renewal of Club membership will be due on the 1st January each year. Failure of renewal terminates membership and insurance.

3.02. Membership shall be open to all individuals, subject to the limitations of the Clubs facilities, resources and rules.

3.03. 'Senior membership' is defined as members who are 18 years of age or over on the 1st January and being a member of the Society of Model Aeronautical Engineers Ltd., trading as the British Model Flying Association.

3.04. 'Junior membership' is defined as members who are under 18 years of age on the 1st January and being a member of the Society of Model Aeronautical Engineers Ltd., trading as the British Model Flying Association.

3.05. Fellowship and Honorary membership, the highest honour that the Club can bestow, is reserved for those individuals who deserve special merit for their services to the Club and/or to the sport of model flying. Any Fellow or Honorary member is given free membership of the Club for life and has the same membership status of a Senior member. Before the Committee can approve a nomination for a Fellowship or Honorary membership, it requires a written nomination, including a brief explanation for the nomination, submitted to the Secretary. This explanation is then circulated to the Committee members for discussion at an appropriate meeting prior to the Annual General Meeting and, if approved, the Fellowship/Honorary membership is awarded at the A.G.M.

3.06. Fellowship can only be awarded to current or past members of the Club.
